We are a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative committed to providing reliable power and quality customer service at the lowest possible cost.

Each time a member pays their bill via card, the cooperative is charged a fee. By accepting card payments for every rate class in the past, these fees were categorized as “cost of doing business,” meaning these fees were not passed directly onto the member. Instead, all rate classes shared the cost of the total fees accepted.

We have monitored the fees closely over the last few years and recently determined that this is impacting each rate unfairly. After exploring every alternative, we determined the fairest solution for our members is to only take card payments from rate class 1.
